Say YES!

When you took stock of 2017 and set out a plan for this new year, did you make a vow to just say no? No to additional commitments, no to volunteering, no to one more extra responsibility?

If you did, I want to encourage you to say yes instead. This time, when you say yes, do it with the conviction that you can be in control of how those things are done. Then you can make the most of every new thing you take on.

Daily life is full of to-do lists for the future, along with some nagging regret about the past. I challenge you to let go of the future and the past. Focus on the present and practice mindfulness.

The YMCA Weight Loss Program describes mindfulness as an act of being completely present in the moment and having a greater connection with ourselves, our senses and our environment. Typically, I would tell you to move more! But this time, instead of spinning your wheels, take some time to be still.

Splash is an SWBA team for players over 80 years old that has been featured by ESPN, NBC, The Huffington Post, Yahoo News and endorsed by Miracle Whip — an endorsement which they said “comes with a side of potato salad” on their Facebook page.
